Licensing Principles

You can license all or only a subset of your users. All subscriptions are cancellable at any time with no penalties, and there are no forced multi-year renewals.

We charge per protected user accounts

A protected user requires one Afi license. There are no charges for SharePoint and Shared Drives in standard plan.

If you need to protect only/mostly SharePoint / Shared Drives, we will offer a custom pricing plan based on your needs.

You don't have to license all users in your domain(s)

We don't have any required minimum % of domain users that need to be licensed. Afi only requires licenses for protected users. I.e. you only need to pay for the active Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace users you protect.

What happens if a user is deleted from O365/G Suite?

No Afi backup data (recovery points) is deleted or modified – no matter what happens to your primary infrastructure – unless you submit an authorized request to delete your data.

If a user account, or SharePoint (Shared Drive) is deleted from your O365/G Suite, the backup data will remain in Afi and the user (drive) will automatically switch to the "Archived" status.

Licensing for archived users

You can delete inactive user accounts from G Suite (O365) to save on licensing costs, while retaining their backup data in Afi. Such deleted users will appear in Afi in the "archived" status, and their data can be restored to any other account, exported offline, searched and previewed online.

Archived (deleted) users can be retained indefinitely, and they don't need to be licensed separately.

We provide custom discounted pricing for organizations with 500+ users. Please a start trial or get in touch with us to get a custom quote.

Education pricing

We provide flexible discounted pricing for educational and non-profit organizations.

Refunds and cancellations

You can cancel your subscription at any time, and we will refund any remaining (unused) pre-paid portion of it.

E.g. if you subscribed & paid for a one-year subscription and you decided to cancel it 4 months later, we'll refund the cost of the remaining 8 months of the subscription (equal to 8/12 x annual subscription cost).

Additional licenses

You will be able to purchase additional licenses at the same price as your original subscription at any time and we will co-term the additional subscriptions with the original one.
