Applications

All Afi Public API calls are performed on behalf of applications and authenticated using an API key. An application is used to grant Public API access to organizations and tenants and can be created in the Settings → Apps tab in the Afi portal. An 'application' concept implemented by Afi is similar to a 'service account' entity in other systems.

Applications can only be installed (granted access to) in its own tenant or organization where they were created. Objects and methods accessible by an application are limited by the scope of application installations and application permissions.
