What's supported

Afi SaaS backup for Google Workspace provides comprehensive support for the Google Workspace ecosystem, including Gmail, Google Drive (including Shared drives), Contacts, Calendar, Google Chats, Google Directory, and Google Classroom workloads.

Gmail

Afi offers Gmail backup and recovery with rich backup browse and full-text search capabilities as well as full-fidelity restore and export options that preserve message contents and metadata (including email sent date), message attachments, and label structure. Supported export formats include PST, MBOX, and EML.

Google Drive and Shared drives

Afi provides Google Drive and Shared drives backup support with granular restore and export options, supporting user-to-user and user-to-shared-drive recovery. Google Drive data recovery preserves the original file/folder structure and metadata, including modification dates, document IDs, and sharing permissions.

Google Drive backup includes support for Google native documents (Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Slides). Google native documents are restored back in native Google formats and exported as DOCX, XLSX, and PPTX, respectively.

Afi also supports Google Drawings backup and its export and recovery in SVG, Google Jamboard backup and its export and recovery in PDF, as well as Google Apps Script files backup and recovery.

Google Drive shared files are backed up under the file owners' user accounts.

Contacts

Afi supports Google Contacts backup, recovery, and export that fully preserve contact metadata (photo, addresses, phones, website, notes, etc.) and label structure. Contacts can be exported as PST and VCF.

Calendar

Afi backup for Google Calendar fully captures event data and metadata, including event attendees, recurrence settings, event locations, event description and attachments, permissions, and visibility settings. Calendar metadata and access settings are restored as well. Google Calendar data can be exported in PST and ICS formats.

Google Chats

Afi backup for Google Chats contains user chats and chat spaces, including file and image attachments and user mentions, and allows you to browse and search messages and attachments. Google Chats data can be exported as HTML.

Google Directory

Afi supports backup and recovery for Google Directory users, groups, and organizational units, including the corresponding metadata as well as group and organizational unit membership settings.

Google Classroom

Afi provides comprehensive backup and recovery for Google Classroom data, including class configuration, announcements, assignments, materials, and student submissions.
