Afi Platform Update - Oct 2024¶
This update brings many new features and significant improvements to the Afi platform, extending support for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Kubernetes backup.

Microsoft 365¶
Power Platform¶
This update extends Power Platform eco-system support, including Power Apps and Power Automate workloads as well as Power Platform admin settings and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) policies. You can enable Power Platform backup for your Microsoft 365 tenant as described in this guide.

If you have already configured Power Platform (Power BI) backup for your tenant before this update, additional workloads will start synchronizing automatically after the update. No additional configuration is required.
Power Apps and Power Automate flows backed up by Afi are organized into per-environment folders and can be exported in the Microsoft-native formats suitable for further import back into Power Platform.
Power Platform admin settings and DLP policies are available under the Admin settings tab inside the Power Platform backup browse view and can be exported in JSON format.

Planner¶
Afi now supports Microsoft Planner backup which includes plans, buckets, tasks, and task comments, as well as the corresponding metadata (task status, priority, assignees, start and due dates, labels, checklist, notes, and file attachments).

If your Microsoft 365 tenant has been added in Afi before Dec 4, 2023 and you haven't regranted the Afi application permissions consent after this date, you need to regrant it as described here to start backing up Planner data for your tenant.
To start backing up Planner data, you should enable Planner workload for the backup SLA policies in your tenant and ensure that Microsoft 365 teams with your organization's Planner plans are protected with the corresponding policies. Planner data for a team can be found inside the team's backup and is available for recovery and export in HTML format.
Bitlocker device key support for Entra ID¶
Afi now includes Bitlocker recovery keys for Intune-enrolled devices as a part of Entra ID (Azure Active Directory) backup. Recovery keys for a device can be found on the device card under the Devices tab inside the Entra ID backup browse view and are available for download.

Afi now supports backup and recovery for Google Directory users, groups, and organizational units, including the corresponding metadata as well as group and organizational unit membership settings. You can enable Google Directory backup for your Google Workspace tenant as described in this guide.

Sending audit events and reports to a Google Chats webhook¶
Afi now allows to send periodic service reports as well as audit events to a Google Chats webhook. You can follow this guide to create a Google Chats webhook in a space where you want reports or audit events to be sent.
