Afi Platform Update - Dec 2025¶

This update brings many new features and significant improvements to the Afi platform, extending support for Google Workspace, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Amazon Web Services, and Kubernetes backup.

Copilot¶

This update introduces comprehensive Copilot backup that captures user prompts and Copilot agent replies, including both direct chats with Copilot and interactions with Copilot within other Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, etc.). With Afi backup for Copilot, you can browse chats, search across message contents, and export chat data as HTML.

To back up Copilot for your Afi tenant, please enable Copilot in the backup SLA policy settings for the tenant.

If your Microsoft 365 tenant has been added in Afi before Nov 12, 2025 and you haven't regranted the Afi application permissions consent after this date, you need to regrant it as described here to start backing up Copilot data for your tenant.

Search by primary key in database tables¶

To easily navigate across large tables in Azure SQL and Azure PostgreSQL databases, Afi now lets you search inside a table by primary key value. Supported operations are =, >, >=, <, <=. You can iterate over search results the same way you iterate over table data in general.

In this update, Afi adds the ability to search by a substring contained in the item name to filter items inside a folder (non-recursively) while browsing a volume:

Overview screen¶

This update introduces the redesigned tenant Overview screen, which now includes a widget to view backup storage history changes for the tenant across different time intervals (7 days, 1 month, 1 year, all time).

This update brings the redesigned Customers screen, which improves the service experience for partners managing a large number of customers by introducing the ability to locate a customer tenant by name as well as filter by tenant kind or backup status.
