Notifications¶

Afi allows to configure notification groups to receive email notifications for certain kinds of events, grouped by event kind (licensing, ransomware, and system notifications).

You can add any email address as a notification group member, including a non-Google/Microsoft 365 email address or a group email address. Sending notifications to a group email address is a preferrable option as it allows to manage group members in your Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 directory and reuse the group in other services which your organization is subscribed for.

Licensing notifications¶

Licensing notifications include the following events:

Subscription status notifications
Quota-related notifications
Failed payment notifications

Ransomware notifications¶

Ransomware notifications are sent when Afi detects suspicious file encryption events and contain a resource possibly affected by a ransomware attack as well as a list of files which were flagged by our detection heuristics.

System notifications¶

System notifications are sent in case of the following events:

A backup deletion is scheduled by an administrator;
A tenant or a child organization (for partner organizations) is added under the organization.

Afi plans to add additional types of system notifications for security-sensitive account configuration changes in future.
