Afi Platform Update - Nov 2023

This update brings many new features and significant improvements to the Afi platform, extending support for Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and Kubernetes backup.

Update summary

Microsoft 365 backup

• Audit and sign-in log events backup for Entra ID

Google Workspace backup

• Multiple stability improvements for backup and recovery

Kubernetes backup

• Improved backup performance and reduced incremental backup storage footprint
• Volume topology is preserved during cross-region and cross-zone persistent volume recovery
• Backup agent version chart on the Service → Overview tab
• Manifest browsing and exporting in YAML format

Platform

• Custom access groups for organization administrators
• Dedicated billing administrator role is now available
• Improved error messages for management operations

Security and Audit

• Automatic logout from the Afi portal in case of IP address change since the login event
• Audit improvements:
  • Audit event is triggered on a resource group creation
  • Audit event is triggered when a user accepts an access group invitation
  • Improved audit details for access group changes
  • Improved audit details for backup data search events

Partner portal

• Custom access groups for partner organization administrators, enabling data access on a per-customer-organization basis
