Protections

Protection creates a mapping between the specific Resource and Policy which defines the backup schedule and settings.

Protections define which policies are applied to resources. Afi allows to protect resources from Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tenants with only one backup policy per each resource. For other types of tenants, like Kubernetes, the service may allow protecting a single resource with multiple policies.

When a resource is protected, the Afi service returns a job associated with this protection that can be later used to trigger Tasks.
